Dr. Burstein is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Interventional Cardiology. His subspecialty expertise includes the advancement of percutaneous management of cerebrovascular disease, and the transcutaneous management of valvular heart disease and adult congenital heart disease.
After receiving his medical degree and completing an internship in South Africa, Dr. Burstein completed his postgraduate training at the Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago. His cardiology and Interventional Cardiology training was completed at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
In addition to being on the California CardioVascular Institute team of physicians, Dr. Burstein serves as Director of the Cardiac Catherization Laboratories at Good Samaritan Hospital, and Director of Clinical Research in Vascular Medicine at Cedar Sinai Medical Center.
